Come home to yourself.

Rysse Guzman Dakota (MHC-LP)

Hello dear human,

My name is Rysse, like Still I Rise.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in radical compassion, mindfulness, spiritual integration, and somatics.

I offer a warm, grounded approach to therapy, inviting you to slow down and enter into relationship with the feelings, thoughts, habits, and patterns that may be causing you suffering.

We don’t try to fix things with a sense of power-over or urgency. Instead, we gently turn toward what is here. Through feeling into the sensations in your body, listening with curiosity to your thoughts and patterns, and relating to the different parts of you, we create space for what needs to move, heal, and transform to do so naturally.

Without forcing, pushing, or shaming, you begin to remember your own wisdom and wholeness.

You begin to remember your light.

And, little by little, return home to yourself.

Spiritual and Holistic Care

My approach integrates Buddhist Psychology, somatic therapy, Indigenous Focusing-Oriented Trauma Therapy, mindfulness, and embodied parts work, with space for spirituality and intuitive practices when they are meaningful to you.

Alongside Western psychology frameworks, I invite you to explore the spiritual and existential dimensions of your healing, including the deeper roots of suffering and the practices, perspectives, and resources that can support your wellbeing.

When appropriate and aligned with your values, we may also explore herbal and plant-based approaches to wellbeing as complementary practices alongside your existing care.

What we might explore together in therapy

  • Complex and intergenerational trauma

  • Anxiety, depression, and emotional overwhelm

  • Grief and loss

  • Relationship patterns and attachment

  • Sexual trauma

  • Burnout and exhaustion

  • Major life transitions

  • Recurring patterns you can't seem to break

  • Disconnection from your body or yourself

  • Spiritual or existential questions

  • Identity and belonging

  • Feeling stuck despite knowing what you "should" do
